A worship service is an important time to provide people with a reverential space in which to encounter God, both in the personal and corporate realms and at Augustana, we strive to provide that space and time for such an encounter to happen. Central to our worship is the Word and Sacrament, wherein we hear the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and then receive the promise of that Gospel in the sacrament of Holy Communion, which is celebrated weekly. There is also a Children’s time offered in the service where a message relating to the weekly scripture readings is offered to the children in attendance. Although we are a small group, the quality of music within our service is excellent. Our choir participates in the service as both the vocal leaders and in way of the choir anthem prepared each week. Augustana is grounded in the liturgical traditions of the Lutheran Church and offers worship services that allow each Sunday service to be as vibrant and rich an experience as possible.
